Born January 25th, 1955 in the quiet settlement of Upper Bouge, Eleuthera to Delbert and Frizzie Williams, a handsome baby boy was born. He was given the name Whittington Harold Williams. “Whittie” as he was affectionately called, was raised by his loving parents. He attended the Upper Bouge All Age School. While caring for his younger siblings, he pursued academic achievements by attending night school.

Whittie was a very quiet and focused individual. He loved reading, writing and travelling. His penmanship was the absolute best. At the age of 17, Whittie moved to Nassau where he became a member of the Royal Bahamas Police Force. During his tenure on the Force, he worked on many of the Country’s Family Islands. Within a few years, he welcomed the birth of his first daughter, Crystal. While serving on the RBPF, he worked his way up to Corporal status, and became known as Corporal 955 Williams. After leaving the Force, Whittie joined the Bahamas Treasury Department followed by Resorts International (which later became Sun International’s Atlantis Resort).

Being married for a short time, this union was blessed with his second daughter Tiffany (Officier WPC 3287). Whittie continued working at the Atlantis Resort in the Security Unit until he became too ill to work. On July 18th, 2012 he was admitted into the Princess Margaret Hospital and later transferred to Doctor’s Hospital where he quietly slipped away on July 23rd, 2012.
