My sincere condolences to my family of Betty Taylor Sands. Betty & i grew up in Rock Sound Eleuthera next door to each other. We were cousins, friends & like sisters. On the phone we talked 2, 3, 4 & sometimes more a week, even though she was in Nassau Bahamas & i in florida, it did not matter to Betty. If Betty could not reach me, she would call my daughter Denise, who would say to her, “aunt Betty u can’t get mummy this is why u are calling me, they both would laugh. Oh Betty, my Sweet Lady i miss u so much. U left a huge void in my heart. I cry every day hoping that i would get a phone call from you, just to hear ur voice. All of our lives we stuck together as if we were glued even when far apart. I listen still for my phone to ring, hoping it is a call from u. Betty u were the few sweetest people in this world to me & so many, many others. Those who knew u could not say any thing but good things about u. I remember when you first opened up ur business, i asked u, who did u work for? Your answer to me was, God, meaning how u help people find jobs. Betty u surely spoke the truth about this, helping so many people in need. Ur church in Rock Sound Eleuthera u remained faithful to, ur people in Eleuthera also. When Father Fredrick Guild passed away he wanted to be buried in Rock Sound u help to carry out his wishes. Also u saw about his Head Stone & that he would be buried in St Lukes Anglican Church Yard
Another wonderful thing that u did for ur people in Rock Sound Eleauthera was, u made sure that the new sports field was named after our Hero Big Doggie Smith, best Bahamian Softball Pitcher ever. In Nassau Bahamas u work in ur church Christ Church Cathedral & rarely missed a Sunday Morning Mass. U were an Author of books & poems, that inspired every ones of us. Betty u Served ur God & ur country the best way u could, u gave it ur all. I can go on & on writing & talking about u for ever. Well done Gods faithful Servant, gone but forever in my 💙. Betty sleep on & take ur rest, God 💘 u best. May ur Soul Rest In Peace. I 💘 & miss u dearly.
Deepest condolences to the family. I remember Betty as our youth group leader at St Lukes Anglican church Rock Sound. Betty also taught me how to type back when I was a teenager in Rock sound . RIP Betty and rise in glory.
Wonderful wendy, thank u so much, 💘 u.
Speaking of Betty Taylor Sands, she was a wonderful wife to her Husband Charles Garrett Sands who passed away in 1966. A very good mother to her children a good daughter, a good sister & a friend to everyone near & far. Rest In Peace my Sweet Lady, 💘 u
