Funeral Service for the late Coral Fawkes Taylor, aged 101 years of Goldenrod Place, Durham, NC will be held at 11: 00 a.m. on Friday 12th April 2024 at St. Mary’s The Virgin Anglican Church, Virginia Street. Officiating will be Fr. Colin Humes assisted by other members of the clergy. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery, Virginia Street.
Coral is preceded in death by her husband: Rev. John E. Taylor; eldest son: John E. F. Taylor and her siblings: Gertrude Burnside, Bloneva Deveaux, William Fawkes and Sir Randol Fawkes.
Coral is survived by her children and their spouses: Rev. Stephanie Yancy (Joseph), Dr. Sharon Taylor (Willie Covington), Philip Taylor (Joanne), and James Taylor (Detra Campbell-Taylor), as well as her daughter-in-law: Kelly Miller Taylor; seven grandchildren; three great grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
Coral was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Episcopal Relief and Development or to St. Titus Episcopal Church, 400 Moline St., Durham, NC, 27707, would be additional ways to honor Coral’s memory.
