ATime To Love

Everette was a wonderful husband to Leonie (nee Seymour) and cared for her throughout their 55 years of marriage. He was also the greatest father to his five children and always put them first so that he could provide for each of them in his own special way. Daddy was truly “SWEET” to each of us in good and bad times and he was so happy when he was able to walk his last child down the aisle. He was a wonderful grandfather to his 14 grandchildren who called him “Papa” who he loved to be around as they brought new life to his days and he always wanted to make sure each one of them was doing well.

A Time For Church

Everette was a dedicated Christian and faithful member at his church Central Gospel Chapel and always put Christ first in his daily living. He always told his children that in the depths of despair, put God first in your life and everything will be alright. Everette was the voice of Central Gospel’s radio hour and religiously recorded the program with his very good friend Patrick Albury every Saturday morning which aired on Sunday mornings. Everette was a dedicated Sunday School teacher, a leader of Kiwanis Club, a faithful member of the choir, a member of the Men’s Fellowship and participated in numerous Church activities when called upon.

A Time To Work

Everette was a committed employee who worked at the Bahamas Telecommunications Company for over 35 years where he started as a technician and retired as the Deputy General Manager.

A Time For Sports

Everette was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all sporting games especially the world soccer and exercised every day by jogging at 5am on Montagu Beach and then he moved indoors to the gym where he won several trophies for being the longest member at the gym, exercising on the treadmill.
