My family travelled to Freeport from Toronto in the mid 70’s, and as a young girl I was treated like royalty by my favourite band, The Mustangs. John’s huge smile, beautiful voice and kindness left a huge impression upon me; he kindly had his picture taken with me and called me his “beautiful little soul sister” when he signed my “On Tha Rocks” album. Over the years it became my wish to one day again travel to the Bahamas, and try to find a way to reach John to thank him. I got close to finding him through friends online, but was not able to pinpoint his whereabouts. I send my love to his family, and hope that this note of gratitude brings some comfort and smiles. John will always have a special place in my heart, and the ripples of his kindness have carried on through many miles and many years! I have a few pictures and would happily share them.
We met you in our travels! One of the Best Souls that we ever met! Sorry we never saw each other again. I always thought we would. Will never forget you! Fly High John Boy! Maybe you’ve reunited with Mom, she passed away 1996. Will always love you! Lisa (ashley14)
