Rest in eternal peace Aunt Melly. You were truly a sweet soul. Though a few days have passed, I still struggle to muster up the words to say. This just hasn’t resonated with me yet. I love you & will miss you 😘 🌷🖤
Cash oh Cash. This is beyond hard. You were/are my work mom. You took me under your wings almost 15 years ago and you have left an indelible mark in my life. You have taught me patience, love, care, unselfishness and so much more. You are a virtuous woman and your children have called you blessed .
We have laughed together, cried together, talked about our families oh and how you loved your family. I could go on and on but I thank God for the memories that would forever be etched in my mind. The tears have not stopped falling.
To Mr. Cash, Shanny, Shando, HR, Chikera the grandchildren and the extended family, on behalf of my family and I we want to say thank you, thank you for letting us share in a part of Mrs. Cash’s life.
May God’s peace comfort you all during this most difficult time. May you be reminded that absent from this body is to be present with the Lord. I am a firm believer that we will see Cash in heaven on that glad reunion day.
I will forever miss you Mellie. You were the most sweetest and humble of souls. I pray the gentleness you brought to this world continue to live in our hearts as a reminder of you .
To the Cash Family:
Love knows no boundaries, even those that divide heaven and earth. So whenever you feel sad, just remember, your hearts are connected together.
Cash, you will always be remembered and deeply loved. You were a consistent and genuine friend. I appreciate and thank God for the time I’ve shared with you. Rest my love.
To the family: This is a real shock and great loss, with God each day will be a bit better. Remember the good times, jokes, the best macaroni in the 242 and cherish all the wonderful memories. You were truly blessed with an angel. My prayers and love are with you.
To the Cash Family,
Melvenia was beautiful on the outside and adorned herself with the inner jewelry of Christ- given holiness. She sang and spoke with the voic of angels. The extension of her hands were endless. May the life she lived continue to live on thru each of you. She was my friend and sister. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family.

To Herbert and the Cash family,
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.
May peace be unto you in your time of sorrow.
To The Cash Family,
My family and I count a great privilege to have been able to experience the angelic nature of Mrs. Cash. She was one of the most precious and selfless persons I’ve ever met. We all looked forward to many more memories made but for now we will cherish the ones we have. During your time of grief we mourn with you, and pray your strength for the journey ahead. She will be deeply missed, especially by Grammy & I.
May the Love of God our father overshadow you and His peace be your portion.
Every encounter with Sis. Mel has become a cherished memory for me.
She always exuded a welcoming and encouraging aura.
Her sudden passing has left us all sorrowful
but we can rejoice knowing that she is with her Lord.
May her soul rest in peace.
Tribute to my Adopted sister/friend and former coworker Melvenia Cash:
Melly and I worked together for approximately 15 years between the Office of The Prime Minister and the Ministry of Financial Services.
This beautiful woman, inside and out, was so gentle and caring. We were always very close and I valued our friendship- we confided in each about many things.
One of her beliefs in life was the importance of being authentic with people, saying what needs to be said because it’s good for the relationship and for the soul. She strongly believed having peace is essential for a healthy and joyful life. I always admired how she never judged or forced her opinions on anyone, but offered valuable and truthful advice that I will surely miss. Melly was extremely kind, trustworthy and a conscientious employee.
She was a Christian who loved her God, husband, children, family and friends.
Melly was also a great cook- honestly I have never tasted baked macaroni that was more delicious than Melly’s.
When she visited me last year after my husband passed, we spoke about dying and how important it is to be ready to meet our Lord Jesus. We both affirmed that we are prepared to meet the Lord.
Her beautiful spirit will live on through her children, and they will always know how much she loved them. God called her, and she had to go. Sleep on my dear sister and friend, you will forever be in my heart.

Hands for Hunger Family
Sister Cash was indeed a remarkable Woman of God. She lived her life storing up her treasures in heaven. I will miss her cheerful smile and kind spirit. May God comfort and strengthen the Cash family as you celebrate her legacy🙏🌹!
As the heavens reverberate with gladness, we must understand that, though we weep now, weeping endures for but a night. In the morning, comes that JOY.
It is a Joy unspeakable and full of Glory.
With this great joy, we remember the words of Christ in John 14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
With this faith, we know that The GREATEST COMFORTER of all now has our dear sister, sleeping in His place of rest. My sincerest to you Dr. Herbert Cash II, HR, Shando and Shan and it is our hope that she Rest In Peace, and on that glad reunion day, RISE IN GLORY.
For a moment, imagine how nervous you might feel, walking for the first time into the country’s C Suite. In my first days as Minister of Financial Services and Investment, I was nervous.
Malvenia Cash was one of the people who warmly welcomed me, showed me the ropes and always had encouraging words for me – and everyone else. She put me at ease. I learned so much from her. There were others too. I have to single out Ruth Charlton because she and Cashie (as I called her) were an inseparable team.
In our Ministry there were tight deadlines. Lots of pressure. Lots of work. Cashie had a big heart, a very generous spirit, a smile that lit up a room and a wonderful sense of humour. She was always smiling and always encouraging. She was flawless in her attention to detail. When any team member stumbled, her smile, gentle voice and embracing demeanor always won the day.
Her delicious cuisine and bennie cakes are legendary. I always felt that our birthday bennie cake was especially delicious. We are Capricorn girls born one day apart.
If anyone is looking for a model of an exceptional public service professional, it’s Melvenia Cash.
Thank you to Mr. Herbert Cash, the children and the family for being the wind beneath her wings. God blessed you with a wonderful and exceptional wife and mother. I pray that your memories of her will comfort you in the days, weeks and months ahead. May she rest in peace.
