Funeral Service for the late Melvin Kenneth Saunders, aged 88 years, of Chapel Street, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 24th, 2021, at Salem Union Baptist Church, Taylor Street. Officiating will be Rev. Heuter B. Rolle assisted by other members of the Gospel. Interment will follow in the Western Cemetery, Nassau Street.
Due to current Government regulations in respect of Covid-19, masks and social distancing are required. Graveside attendance is limited to forty (40) persons.
Left to cherish his memories and mourn his death are Son: Jason Saunders; Daughter-in-law: Kimley Saunders; Adopted daughter: Grier A. Cartwright; Grandchildren: Je’Vaughn and Je’Nea Saunders; Godchild: Melanie Taylor-Moxey; Adopted Grandchildren: Giovonni, Malique & Faith; Brother: John Victor Saunders; Sisters: Francina and Lillis Saunders; Nieces: Hope and Diedree; Nephews: Kendal, Carlon, Leslie (Renee), Mark, Craig (Diane), John (Barbara), Alfred and Jevon (Erin); Many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Friends may pay their last respects at the Sir Lynden Pindling Centre (PLP Headquarters), Farrington Road, on Thursday July 22nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and at Bethel Brothers Morticians & Crematorium, #44 Nassau Street, on Friday July 23rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and at the Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
