Sincerest condolences to the family from my family and I. You will be dearly missed. May God strengthen an comfort the family at this most difficult time.
Monique Virginia Moss Hepburn was my best friend and there are no words in any language adequate enough to express my love and gratitude to her, not for who she was but for the kindness she shared with all of her friends. She had edited several books that I wrote and even when I was exhausted at two and three o’clock in the morning, she was pushing me to wash my face and continue to work at it. She was a person of excellence and hard work and did not believe in cutting corners. I will always remember this this giant of a woman who has taught me how to love others with all my heart.
The fact that her friend Patsy Alexander, a former colleague from the Tourism Office in London, came to Nassau for one month to care for her and another friend, Sherry Parker Cann who resides in Ohio was informed that she was extremely ill one day and the next day she boarded a plane to spend the last days of Monique’s life with her. She returned to Ohio the day after Monique’s death and she and her husband David arrived the day before the funeral. Oh, and there is Diana who also worked with Monique in London, she flew to Nassau to spend a weekend visit with her dear friend, Monique. These are just a few instances which reminded me of the testament of the beautiful friendships Monique displayed over the years.
Monique, I will always love and miss your wonderful smile and sober personality, take your heavenly rest!
