Funeral Service for the late Vera Kathleen Carey, 104 years of Paige Drive, Winton Meadows and formerly of Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6th, 2022 at Wesley Methodist Church, Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera. Officiating will be Reverend Christopher Neeley. Interment will follow in Tarpum Bay Public Cemetery, Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera.

Aged 104 years

Funeral Service for the late Vera Kathleen Carey, 104 years of Paige Drive, Winton Meadows and formerly of Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6th, 2022 at Wesley Methodist Church, Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera.  Officiating will be Reverend Christopher Neeley.  Interment will follow in Tarpum Bay Public Cemetery, Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera.

Due to current Government regulations in respect of Covid-19, masks and physical distancing are required. 

Vera was preceded in death by her Husbands: William “Bill” Sands and John Zacheus Carey; Children: Herbert Sands and Phyllis Germaine Carey.

Cherished memories of Vera will always linger in the hearts of those who loved and knew her, especially her Children: George Sands (Rona Sands), Dorothea Fernie, John (Tobias) Carey, Gordon Carey, Karen Bethel, Maurice Carey and Roderick Carey (Betty Lynn Carey); Sister: Florence Morley; Grandchildren: Kathleen Seymour, Gary Sands, Brenda Darling, Mary Sands-Huyler, Sandra Carey, Henry Sands, Bruce Sands, Regina Watts, Perry Sands, Melanie Sands, Bruce Fernie, Peco (Peter) Sands, Maria Sands, Roosevelt (Roosie) Sands, John A. Friends may pay their last respects at Bethel Brothers Morticians & Crematorium, #44A Nassau Street on Thursday August 4th, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; at Wesley Methodist Church, Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera on Friday August 5th, 2022 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday August 6th, at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

  3. My sincere condolences 💐 to all my cousins on the passing of dear aunt Vera. She is gone but she won’t be forgotten. I will miss seeing her on FaceTime, and visiting her when I come home to Nassau. She lived a long life, am sure she touched many hearts ♥️ and was loved 🥰 by many. She is with God now,. May her soul Rest In Peace and Rise in Glory one day. Amen.
